About Deft Foundry
Most of the small things a browser should do, it doesn’t — and the tools that fill those gaps tend to arrive as one of two shapes: a free thing that is abandoned, or a $9-a-month platform that wants to be your workflow. Neither is right for a job that takes ten seconds and then gets out of the way.
Deft Foundry is a shelf of the other kind. Each extension does a single narrow thing, works locally, is genuinely usable for free, and is bought once if you want the rest of it. They share nothing except an account and a way of being sold — which is the whole reason they live under one roof: it makes shipping a small tool cheap enough to be worth doing.
Who is behind it
Deft Foundry is built and operated by Jun Zhang, an independent software developer — one person, no company layers. The same person who writes the code answers [email protected], reads every piece of feedback, and ships the fixes. The legal and data-protection details live in the privacy policy.
What we believe
The same rules the shelf is printed with — they decide what gets built here as much as they decide how it is sold.
- Small, and finished
- Each one does a single job the browser did not. None of them is a platform, and none of them is going to grow into one.
- The free tier is the tool
- Every extension here is usable without paying and without an account. The paid tier buys more, never the basics.
- Bought once
- One payment per extension, no subscription. A tool that runs on your own machine cannot honestly answer “why pay again next month”.
- One account, separate purchases
- Sign in once for all of them. Buying one never charges you for another, and never unlocks another.
- Your library is yours
- These extensions keep what they collect in your own browser. Each one’s sheet draws the line at the edge of it, and names everything that crosses.
